Fish and Poi + Lomi Lomi Salmon!
The best combination since before sliced bread (yes, BEFORE sliced bread), enter fish and poi. Poi, a Hawaiian staple food made from kalo (taro), poke (cubed and marinated sushi-grade raw fish -- usually ahi-- with other seasonings), or lomi lomi salmon! Lomi lomi salmon is made with salted salmon diced up and mixed with tomatoes and onions. The starchiness of the poi (or rice, if you're not into poi) and the saltiness from the fish, it's a win-win!
