Wishing you all a safe Halloween full of spooky fun! That being said, beware of the Night Marchers!
Night Marchers (or huaka'i pō as they are called in Hawaiian) are the ghostly protectors of high-ranking ali'i. You will know when the night marchers are on the move because they are usually preceded by the sound of drums and conch shells, and they carry torches and war clubs whilst on their trek. If you happen upon the night marchers, whatever you do, avoid direct eye contact with them as they are considered to be spirits that bring misfortune!
