In 'Ōlelo Hawai'i, the vowels are pronounced differently than how we usually would in English. Similarly to languages such as Japanese or Spanish, in Hawaiian, the vowels are pronounced as: A - "ah", E - "eh", I - "ee", O - "oh", U - "ooh"; instead of "Ay", "Ee" "Ay" "Oh" "You". This means words like "lomi lomi" are pronounced as "low-mee low-mee" !

If you accidentally end up in the Night Marchers' path, you must lay facedown, close your eyes and play dead.

Before King Kamehameha I unified the Hawaiian Islands and founded the Hawaiian Kingdom in 1810, each Hawaiian island had it's own independent ali'i nui (supreme ruler).
