June 11th marked King Kamehameha Day! We celebrate King Kamehameha the Great, who unified the Hawaiian Islands and founded the Kingdom of Hawai'i!
So much to see, so little time, there are two festivals this week(end)! Starting from June 6-16, is the 13th Festival of Pacific Arts (or FestPAC), which is a celebration of indigenous Pacific Islanders and a cultural exchange between cultures across Oceania. This weekend also marked the return of the Pan-Pacific festival after 5 years! This 3-day event featured performances and activities from Hawai'i, Japan, and beyond, complete with a fabulous parade!
